Globally Inspired CuisineChef: Jonathan Lee Wood
Director of Food and Beverage & Executive Chef

InterContinental Los Angeles, Century City at Beverly Hills
Jonathan Lee Wood is the director of food and beverage and the executive chef at the InterContinental Los Angeles, Century City at Beverly Hills. A 13-year veteran of the culinary industry, Wood graduated with honors from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY.
After cooking in the kitchens of some of the finest restaurants in Boston and Kansas City, Wood began his hotel career 10 years ago when he joined The Fairmont Kansas City at the Plaza as executive sous chef. He further honed his professional culinary skills as executive sous chef at the InterContinental Kansas City before transferring to the InterContinental Los Angeles in 2008. Recognizing Wood's culinary expertise and creative cooking style, he was promoted to executive chef in 2010.
A native of Kansas City, Mo., Wood was introduced to authentic Korean dishes and preparation methods by his mother and grandparents. Combining these early teachings with his professional training, he incorporates elements from traditional comfort foods and global cuisine into his dishes. Wood's culinary philosophy is showcased in tapas-style plates featured at the hotel's Park Grill and Lobby Lounge.
Together, he and his team of talented culinary professionals have established a robust menu featuring the true flavors of fresh, simple ingredients at one of Century City's favorite dining and banquet spots.
Now, in addition to his culinary expertise as executive chef, Wood utilizes his managerial skills and business acumen as director of food and beverage. In this role, he is responsible for all dining operations at the InterContinental Los Angeles.
