She is also an educational consultant, freelance writer, and conference presenter. Additionally, she is a Google for Education Certified Innovator, KQED Teacher Ambassador, and Lead PBS Digital Innovator. During the course of her career, she has been recognized for her work in the classroom by Microsoft, PBS SoCal, UCSD, and her colleagues when she was selected to represent her school as the 2012 Teacher of the Year.
