Visit the Los Angeles county museum of art for Ancient & Contemporary Exhibits

Home to one of the world's great collections of ancient and contemporary art, LACMA features more than 150,000 works that attest to human creativity and ingenuity. Located on Wilshire Boulevard just four miles from our hotel, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art takes an entire day to explore, so plan accordingly. Visit awe-inspiring outdoor art installations, wander through collections from Asia and Latin America, and stop for a break at one of the museum's upscale eating and drinking outlets.

 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Friday: 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.; closed Wednesdays

  • Are there any free admission days at LACMA?

    Yes, admission to LACMA is free for all visitors on the second Tuesday of each month, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Residents of Los Angeles County can enjoy free admission on weekdays after 3:00 p.m. Active duty military personnel and their families can attend LACMA for free from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
  • Are there places to eat and drink at the museum?

    You’ll find four dining options, offering casual snacks to sit-down dinners: LACMA Café at the Bing Center, C+M coffee bar at the LA Times Central Court, and Ray’s restaurant and Stark Bar at the BP Grand Entrance.
